Believe in Yourself!!

(Because if you don't, no one else will)

When the rage of how unfair life is starts to eat away at your soul and you start looking at the have's and have-not's, it's really easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to other people while asking yourself, "I'm just as deserving. Why is this happening (or not happening) to me?". I sometimes fall into this trap and I don't want to do that anymore.

So this is going to be a note to myself.

Dear Kira,

You are beautiful. You are talented. Stop looking at others as if they can even remotely be compared to you. The experiences you've gone through and the lives you've touched cannot even be compared. You are your own person. There will never be another one like you. 

What is it you want in life? If it's success, if it's wealth, if it's love, go out there and get it for yourself. You have all the necessary tools. Your mama raised you right. :)

So go out there and take on the challenges of the world. There will always be hoops to jump through. There will always be obstacles to overcome. Always people willing to tear you down. It's how you choose to handle those obstacles that showcases your character. 

And your character is awesome.

So just remember, you are beautiful. You have the ability to be as successful as you want to be. Put your game face on and roll up your sleeves and take it all on. You can do this. You can achieve your dreams. You're already ahead of everyone else: you have goals and aspirations. 

Remember, obtaining your goals is only as hard as you make it out to be. 

One step at a time.
